Charles Robbins Named Board Chair of Jewish Family & Children’s Services of Greater Philadelphia

Charles (“Les”) Robbins, an Associate Vice President for Investments at Wells Fargo, was today named the new board chair of Jewish Family & Children’s Services of Greater Philadelphia. He has been a board member of JFCS since 2016, serving as both Assistant Treasurer and Treasurer.

As Board Chair, Robbins will oversee a 25-member board of volunteers and a dedicated full-time professional team who will help guide and support JFCS on its unique and vital mission of strengthening families and individuals across generations and cultures to achieve stability, independence, and community. Additionally, Robbins wants to help expand JFCS’ mental health support, diversity, equity, and inclusion; the organizational evolution of JFCS in a post-pandemic world; resource development; and achieving a new culture of learning and innovation.

“As Board Chair, I look forward to helping this outstanding organization that helps so many in need regardless of their religious affiliation,” said Robbins. “I plan to reach out to solicit support from more members of our diverse community to help support those in need. I also want to find opportunities that engage our board members and the community to help us continue to impact the lives of thousands across the region.”

Robbins and his wife Eve are long-time members of Temple Beth Zion–Beth Israel, where Les was also a Board member for several years.

Robbins is a Financial Advisor at Wells Fargo Advisors and works with individuals and small businesses on their financial goals and objectives. He earned his M.B.A. in Finance from Temple University.

Robbins also sits on the Board of Trustees for the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, and is a member of US SIF (The Forum for Sustainable and Responsible Investment), The Urban League of Philadelphia, Philadelphia Estate Planning Council, the Financial Planning Association, and the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce.
