MyComputerCareer (MyCC), a technical college that provides hands-on Information Technology training, certifications and job placement assistance, today reiterated the awesomeness of its students, graduates, faculty and staff as 429 students and graduates accepted positions in the IT workforce in August, representing a record-number for the school.
This record employment number, which includes first, second, and even third placements for students and graduates, highlights MyComputerCareer’s dedication to preparing qualified professionals for careers in the red-hot IT industry. So far this year, the MyCC’s Career Services team has facilitated more than 2600 accepted job offers. Broken down by month:
- January: 193
- February: 240
- March: 344
- April: 309
- May: 309
- June: 386
- July: 339
- August: 429
“This is why we’re here, to help folks from every walk of life change their lives through meaningful careers in IT, and it is incredibly rewarding to see so many current and former students landed positions last month,” said Tony Galati, founder and CEO of MyComputerCareer. “Although it’s ultimately up to our students to put in the work to find jobs, they have a pretty amazing support system through our Career Services team that helps create resumes, provides job coaching, and assists in finding viable employment opportunities.”
Graduate Lanny Langston, who earned eight IT certifications during his time with the school, emphasized MyCC’s commitment to rewarding careers in the industry pays off.
“After going to MyComputer Career I now have a very clear path of my career in IT,” Langston said. “Unlike your traditional college experience, you’re most likely going to have job offers right out of the door (upon graduation).”
MyComputerCareer students and graduates have earned more than 6300 IT certifications so far in 2021. The school will celebrate the next class of graduates during a virtual commencement in early November.
