Goal-oriented executive brings decades of experience in retail and operational management
Pet Supermarket, a specialty pet supply retailer with locations across the Southeast U.S., is pleased to welcome Steve Jensen to the company and its executive leadership team as the new vice president of retail.
As vice president of retail, Jensen will oversee all retail store operations with responsibilities including managing field operations, executing communications strategy and evolving store operational procedures to enhance the needs of today’s pet parents.
“Steve is a self-starter with the ability to recognize and overcome barriers to operational excellence,” said CEO Allen McClard. “His experience sets him up for success with Pet Supermarket and our growth plans.”
Jensen brings more than two decades of experience in retail operations and sales to the company. In his most recent role, Jensen was director of services for Gander Outdoors, a subsidiary of Camping World. Prior to that, he held various management positions at companies including Lazydays RV, Premium Retail Services, and Best Buy. During his 14 years with Best Buy, Jensen held leadership roles including CEO/managing director of Best Buy UK and vice president of Enterprise Supply Chain.
“A look at Steve’s impressive career shows that he frequently delivers results and exceeds operating objectives, and we’re looking forward to him bringing his expertise to this role,” added McLard.
“I am thrilled to join Pet Supermarket,” said Jensen. “The company’s dedication to high-quality service and community involvement underscores the immense profit potential I hope to build upon.”
Jensen lives in Davenport, Florida, with his family. He is a U.S. Army Veteran and avid volunteer for national non-profit organizations including U.S. Special Olympics and Habitat for Humanity.
