Dentons, the world’s largest law firm, announces today the addition of Angela Bernardi to its Venture Technology and Emerging Growth Companies (VTG) practice as partner in Northern California. Resident in the Silicon Valley office, Bernardi joins Dentons from Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati.
With more than 20 years of experience, Bernardi focuses on advising both public and emerging technology companies on mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions. She most recently served as senior counsel in private practice, and prior to that practiced in house as senior corporate counsel. Bernardi has extensive experience representing companies in both domestic and cross-border transactions, including mergers, asset sales and acquisitions, acqui-hires, joint ventures, minority investments and reorganizations. Additionally, she advises senior management on governance and other general corporate matters.
“Adding Angela to our multidisciplinary team helps to better position the Firm to provide creative solutions, counsel and guidance to tech companies throughout their lifecycles, as well as to tech-
focused investors and acquirors,” said Victor Boyajian, Global Chair of Dentons’ Venture Technology and Emerging Growth Companies practice from his office in Meatpacking, NYC. “Her entrepreneurial drive, strong client relationships, international capabilities and commitment to building a powerful M&A presence, along with our expanding global platform, yield an optimal win-win for Angela and Dentons.”
Market demand in the venture technology sector has increased dramatically over the past 18 months, which has given Dentons’ VTG team an opportunity to expand to meet real, sustained client and market demand. Adding local talent in the Silicon Valley area allows Dentons to better meet the demands in the tech sector by offering depth and experience in sophisticated technology-centered M&A, including private equity and strategic investor transactions. With the rise of technology and globalization, clients are increasingly looking to expand their companies. Dentons’ global presence and working with lawyers across more than 203 offices around the globe positions the Firm to seamlessly meet client demands.
