The Family Fun Day and 5K Walk were held on October 17, 2021, in Watertown, MA, supporting the Sunshine Kids Foundation. This national non-profit organization adds quality of life to children with cancer by providing emotional support and exciting and positive group activities.
With the help of volunteers, and individual and corporate sponsors, including Needham Bank, O’Connor & Drew P.C, Rubin and Rudman LLP, Pino Law Offices P.C, and Mortgage Network, participants enjoyed a variety of activities as well as a live band, refreshments, giveaways, raffles, and helpful information and resources about the Sunshine Kids Foundation. The fundraiser also featured a Pie Throwing event, with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Commonwealth Real Estate owners volunteering to have pies thrown in their faces in good fun to support the kids. This individual fundraising event raised over $20,000 to benefit the Sunshine Kids Foundation.
