Three UBS Advisors in Washington D.C. Named to the Forbes/SHOOK Top Next-Gen Wealth Advisors List

UBS Wealth Management USA announced today that Nick Francia, Kayvon Sarmadi and Toria Scotto, Financial Advisors in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, have been named to the Forbes/SHOOK Research Top Next-Gen Wealth Advisors list for 2021.

“It’s gratifying to see Nick, Kayvon and Toria receive this well-deserved honor,” said Ellen Pierce, D.C. and Mid-Atlantic Market Head at UBS Wealth Management USA. “Every day they work diligently to earn the trust of their clients by demonstrating their passion and commitment for helping them succeed. They should be extremely proud of this incredible accomplishment.”

Nick has been with UBS since 2011. His team focuses on educating business owners on tax-efficient exit strategies. He is committed to helping clients recognize their options, understand the pros and cons of each strategy and choose the best succession plan for themselves and their families. Nick also creates tailored cash flow models comparing the taxable sale of privately held businesses and a Section 1042 tax-deferred sale to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). Earlier this year, Nick was promoted to Managing Director for his excellent dedication to clients. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, fly-fishing and traveling with his wife.

Kayvon has been with UBS since 2011. He and his team work with a diverse group of clients from various backgrounds—entrepreneurs, physicians, attorneys and other successful individuals and families, as well as institutional clients. From helping with education savings plans to developing sophisticated estate planning strategies and implementing philanthropic giving vehicles, Kayvon works closely with his clients to help address all aspects of their financial lives. In 2020, he was chosen by his peers to serve a three-year term on the UBS Financial Advisor Advisory Council (FAAC). The Council acts as a collective voice that represents over 6,000 peers in raising and communicating issues with the firm’s executives to help advisors more effectively meet the needs of their clients. Outside of the office, Kayvon enjoys fitness and playing soccer, as well as traveling and dining out with friends and family.

Toria has been with UBS since 2004. She and her team help to guide successful families and small business owners through financial planning, insurance analyses, philanthropic and estate planning strategies. In addition to her education, Toria attended the Yale School of Management’s Wealth Management Theory and Practice program and has her Certified Private Wealth Advisor® certification administered by the Investments & Wealth Institute®. Outside of the office, Toria enjoys the outdoors, trail running and fostering rescue dogs.
