Erickson Advantage Medicare Advantage Plans Receive Five-Star Rating from the Centers for CMS for Second Consecutive Year

CMS Announces 5-Star Rated Medicare Advantage Health Plans

Erickson Senior Living, a national leader in developing and managing continuing care retirement communities, proudly announced today that Erickson Advantage, its exclusive resident-only Medicare Advantage health plan, once again received recognition as one of the top Medicare Advantage health plans in the country. For the second consecutive year, Erickson Advantage plans received a 5 (out of 5) Star rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), in its annual Star Quality Ratings for 2022. Only the top Medicare Advantage health plans across the country earn this recognition each year.

CMS publishes the Medicare Advantage and Part D Star Ratings every year to measure the quality of, and reflect the experiences of beneficiaries in, Medicare Advantage and Part D plans. CMS uses information from member satisfaction surveys, health plans, and health care providers to give overall performance Star Ratings to plans. The Star Ratings program emphasizes areas such as preventive medicine, early disease detection, customer service and benefits supporting chronic condition management. The program’s goal is to raise the quality of care and strengthen protections for Medicare beneficiaries.

Erickson Advantage Medicare plan members can enjoy additional opportunities to focus on and improve their overall health and well-being. With six unique health plan options to choose from, there is a plan designed to support Erickson Senior Living residents as they move through each stage of life.

“Our plans offer many additional services not covered by Original Medicare, including vision, dental, hearing/hearing aids and transportation benefits. In 2021, we added a new, robust fitness benefit that focuses on both the physical and mental health and well-being of our members. For 2022, we continued to enhance our benefit offerings by adding a Part B Premium Rebate and a $0 specialist copay benefit to select plans, as well as a new telehealth benefit that will be available in all of our plans,” said Dr. Matthew Narrett, Chief Medical Officer at Erickson Senior Living.

This recognition is representative of the quality, top-rated customer service, and high member satisfaction Erickson Advantage provides its members. These outstanding results are due in large part to Erickson Senior Living’s integrated health and well-being model and Erickson Advantage’s partnership with the Erickson Health Medical Group.
