Shutts & Bowen’s Patricia Leonard Elected to Board of Directors of the Armory Art Center

Patricia A. Leonard, a partner in Shutts & Bowen’s West Palm Beach office, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Armory Art Center, a non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire the creation and experience of art.

Based in West Palm Beach, the Armory Art Center provides art classes for artists of all ages and abilities, and hosts numerous exhibitions, art salons, lectures and special events.   Through its Art of the Phoenix program, the Amory Art Center is also committed to serving teens and young adults who have experienced past trauma by encouraging creative expression paired with art therapy.  Its BraveHeARTS program promotes the rehabilitation of military service veterans through visual arts and creative expression.

“It is an honor to have been elected to the Armory Art Center’s Board of Directors,” said Leonard. “As a long-time supporter of the arts in Palm Beach County, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to contribute to the continued and future success of this organization, which is such an important part of our community.”

Leonard, a member of the Shutts and Bowen Business Litigation Practice Group, has a diverse business and commercial litigation practice, representing businesses in their contractual disputes, including non-compete and other employment contracts, employment discrimination defense, partnership and corporate disputes, pharmaceutical and nutraceutical litigation matters, and real estate litigation. She has also litigated trade secret, unfair competition, defamation and copyright infringement cases, as well as securities law cases. She practices in state and federal courts, as well as in FINRA arbitration.

Patti is also active in many other community and professional organizations.

She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and her law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law.
