As Executive Vice President, Cantrell oversees all of the day-to-day operational activities for PGP’s real estate portfolio and is involved in all development and property acquisition efforts. For the past 30 years, he has been involved in the development, construction, leasing and management of industrial, office, multi-family and retail projects throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan region.

“George has a long and successful track record of executing real estate deals and exceptional developments from conception to construction and leasing and management, and he will play a pivotal role as PGP’s Executive Vice President,” said Jeffrey Sussman, President, Property Group Partners. “He gets deals done and will be integral in leading and executing the vision of the next phase of our Capitol Crossing project in Washington, DC as well as other PGP assets in Washington, DC and New York City.”

Cantrell previously served as Vice President, Managing Director of Republic Properties Corporation. There he oversaw the leasing and management of approximately 2.5 million square feet of commercial office space in Washington, DC and 1,200 multifamily assets located in Virginia, North Carolina and Florida. Prior to Republic Properties, he served as Vice President, Director of Operations of Monday Properties, where he directed the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of approximately four million square feet of third party and company owned assets in Virginia and Washington, DC.

“PGP has a stellar reputation for developing and managing premier properties and luxury landmarks,” said Cantrell. “Capitol Crossing is by far the most exciting project underway in DC and I look forward to this rare opportunity to be involved in creating a new community in the heart of the city across three city blocks. We’ve already signed a number of new tenants and look forward to executing the next phase of development.”
