Second Annual Peace, Love & Lights Event Returns to Bethel Woods with Expanded Route, New Displays, and Enhanced Holiday Hub

Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, home of the historic 1969 Woodstock festival, is excited to announce the return of their drive-thru holiday event Peace, Love & Lights, powered by Healey Brothers and sponsored by Sullivan Catskills Visitors Association. The light show begins on November 19, 2021 and runs nightly through January 2, 2022.

This year, visitors will experience an extended route (now at 1.7 miles) and new displays highlighting New York and Holidays Around the World, along with fan favorites such as Snowflake Alley, Candy Cane Lane, Groovy Way, and the Enchanted Forest, which have been expanded to allow for even more holiday magic.

“There’s something incredibly special about the holiday season and we’re thrilled to be able to bring this event back to the community this year,” said Eric Frances, CEO, Bethel Woods Center for the Arts. “What began as a way for guests to visit the cultural center and celebrate the season in a socially-distant manner has now became a highlight of the holiday calendar in the region.”

Peace, Love & Lights is open daily: Sundays through Thursdays from 5 to 9 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 5 to 10 p.m. beginning November 19.

While this is a drive-thru event, Mondays will be dedicated to a walk-thru only experience, presented by Sullivan 180. Guests are encouraged to strap on their comfiest boots and warmest coats and get ready for a one-of-a-kind holiday exercise. Entry for this experience is $10 for adults (12+) and free for youth. To support the Sullivan County Federation for the Homeless, guests who bring a new, unwrapped toy will receive complimentary admission for one adult.

Following the drive, the Holiday Hub provides an opportunity to warm up, unwind with seasonal refreshments, and be dazzled by the Musical Mega Trees light display—a cluster of Christmas trees reaching up to 30-feet tall—as they light up in synch to holiday tunes.

New for 2021, the Hub will include the beloved Holiday Market for a local shopping experience featuring craft, farm, and specialty food vendors from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. each weekend (Saturday and Sunday, November 27 and 28; December 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, and 19).

Additional offerings to enhance the visit include:

  • Dinners with Santa: An all-you-can-eat dining experience in the beautiful Event Gallery and presented by The Kartrite Resort & Indoor Waterpark. (December 3, 4, 9, 10, 16, 17, and 18).
  • Discounted Museum admission: See The Museum at Bethel Woods for just $5 with valid Peace, Love & Lights ticket. (Valid only for the Main Exhibit and after 5 p.m.).
  • Event Gallery shows: Eileen Ivers (Dec. 2); Young People’s Chorus (December 5 matinee); Gordon Lightfoot (December 11 & 12); The Klezmatics (December 19).

Please note that The Museum will be closed to Peace, Love & Lights guests on Event Gallery show dates.

Tickets start $28.75 per vehicle and will increase the day-of the event by $5. More information about available ticket options and special offerings can be found here.
