Klym rejoins NYC’s largest privately held brokerage as Senior Executive Vice President, Managing Director of Sales, Downtown
Brown Harris Stevens (BHS), the premier privately owned real estate brokerage, announces that Stephen Klym has rejoined the firm. Effective November 8, Klym will begin his position as Senior Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Sales, Downtown. Along with Sara Rotter, he will oversee sales operations of the firm’s 130 Fifth Avenue, 831 Broadway, and 43 North Moore Street locations. Steve Kliegerman, Director of Brown Harris Stevens Development Marketing, will remain at 831 Broadway and continue supporting all Downtown agents.
Klym returns to Brown Harris Stevens after briefly working for Warburg Realty, which was acquired in early October by Coldwell Banker. Prior to his departure, he was a vital part of the Terra Holdings family of companies for 14 years, 10 of which were spent as EVP for Brown Harris Stevens Downtown. He has been in real estate for more than two decades.
“I am excited to return to my Brown Harris Stevens family and all the Downtown agents I have grown so close with over years,” said Klym. “As a distinguished privately owned legacy brand in NYC, BHS is the definitive luxury real estate market leader and I am proud to be back.”
“We are all thrilled to welcome Steve home,” said Bess Freedman, CEO. “He is an incredible resource, motivator, and innovator for the executives and agents. I look forward to collaborating with Steve as BHS continues to build for the future.”
Brown Harris Stevens is in the midst of a record breaking year. The Hamptons, Palm Beach, and Connecticut operations shattered their 2020 sales volumes within the first six months of 2021 while the NYC brokerage experienced its highest monthly sales volume in its nearly 150 year history this past August.
Brown Harris Stevens is the largest privately held real estate firm on the East Coast with 2,500 agents and 50+ offices across New York City, the Hamptons, Hudson Valley, Connecticut, South Florida, and New Jersey.
