BGE has announced that Amy Seto has joined the company’s board of directors. Seto is a Partner and Endowments and Foundations senior advisor at Brown Advisory, a private, independent investment and strategic advisory firm. Seto is part of the team that provides strategic advice and mission-aligned solutions to Brown Advisory’s endowment and foundation clients. Prior to joining Brown Advisory in 2017, Seto was executive vice president and chief operating officer at the Baltimore Community Foundation.
“Amy’s strong background in guiding the investments of endowments and foundations that provide long-term funding to nonprofit organizations is a great asset to BGE as we continue to deepen and broaden our relationships with the communities and customers we serve,” said BGE President and Chief Executive Officer Carim Khouzami. “Her reputation across central Maryland and her relationships with organizations striving to lift up underserved and under-resourced communities in a sustainable way will strengthen BGE’s ability to identify and meet the needs of our customers well beyond the delivery of safe and reliable energy.” Seto succeeds former BGE board member Michael Sullivan who retired in 2020.
Seto, an adopted Baltimore native and current resident, also serves on the boards of the Creative Alliance and Heifetz International Music Institute. Additionally, she is a member of the audit committee of the Baltimore Community Foundation.
Seto, a certified public accountant, has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers University and a Master of Business Administration from Johns Hopkins University.
