DLA Piper is pleased to announce that Rachel Ehrlich Albanese, partner in the New York office and vice chair of the firm’s US Restructuring practice, has been named to the Crain’s New York Business Notable Women in Law list.
The list recognizes a select group of New York-based women lawyers for their professional achievements and pro bono work or involvement in industry and community organizations. Crain’s stated that these “impressive attorneys were chosen not only for their skills and accomplishments in the courtroom, but for their leadership outside of it.”
Crain’s wrote that Albanese is “known for her leadership in navigating complex, high-profile matters while remaining committed to the development of her fellow attorneys. In a largely male-dominated field, Albanese has fostered an award-winning practice with her deep knowledge of the transformation space.”
Albanese has nearly 20 years of experience representing debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, equity holders, purchasers of distressed assets, and other parties in a wide range of restructuring matters, including cases under chapter 11 of the US Bankruptcy Code, out-of-court workouts and cross-border insolvency proceedings, as well as in title III cases under PROMESA, Puerto Rico’s restructuring law.
