Art With A Heart Appoints Pauline Harris and Audrey Johnson to Board

Art With A Heart, a non-profit organization whose mission is to enhance the lives of people in need through visual art, recently announced the addition of two new Board members, Pauline M. Harris and Audrey Johnson. 

Pauline Harris is the Owner/Principal of SPIN, a marketing and public relations consulting firm in Baltimore for more than 26 years. “SPIN is an acronym for the services we provide including Strategic Planning, Public Relations, Image or brand development and New Business Development Initiatives,” states Harris.  “I’m thrilled to be invited to add my talents to Art With A Heart and look forward to seeing the fruits of our labor this year,” she added.

Audrey Johnson is Director of Economic Development at Johns Hopkins University and Johns Hopkins Health Systems. In this role, she is responsible for economic diversification and innovation to promote equity, build economic opportunity, incite emerging sectors, support growth, and solve complex challenges.  “I’m eager to add to the success already established at Art With A Heart,” commented Ms. Johnson.  “This organization certainly speaks to “my heart”.

Through engagement with service groups, volunteers, students, and interns, Art with a Heart is beautifying the Baltimore community with meaningful, vibrant, and colorful representations of the charm, diversity, and spirit of Baltimore City. Volunteers are called upon to help with programming needs, workforce development and general organizational demands. Public art projects are completed in community sites throughout Baltimore and in the Art with a Heart office.

“Our Board is composed of Community Leaders and Business Professionals whose interests is to help the organization’s mission that strongly believes in the power of art to enrich lives, bridge divides, and forge the leaders of tomorrow, “ stated Randi Pupkin, Executive Director.  “That belief is rooted in the work we do with each student and volunteer through all branches of our organization”, Pupkin further explains.

In times of isolation or turmoil, art calms and steadies the spirit. In times of reckoning, art amplifies voices. In times of immeasurable challenge, art strengthens our creative muscle and pushes us to think outside the box and develop innovative solutions.
