CBRE announced today that industry veteran Andrew Dietz has joined CBRE Capital Advisors, the firm’s investment banking division, as a Senior Managing Director in New York City.
Mr. Dietz will be responsible for structuring and raising private equity capital for CBRE’s third party institutional clients in the Americas. He has more than 25 years of experience in commercial real estate and has been directly responsible for raising over $15 billion of equity across various investment strategies, private asset classes and geographies.
“Andrew brings a wealth of experience raising private equity capital in fund and joint venture formats. His knowledge and leadership will help to build our capital raising capabilities on a global basis,” said James Scott, Managing Principal for CBRE Capital Advisors.
Mr. Dietz joins CBRE from ACORE Capital, where he served as a Managing Director on its capital raising team. He has previously held senior roles at Morgan Stanley, where he led institutional marketing globally for the firm’s alternative asset management division, and Eastdil Secured’s real estate private equity capital raising practice.
“I am delighted to be joining CBRE at such an exciting time in the development of its investment banking capabilities. The strength of the platform, combining extensive global reach with direct, multi-faceted commercial real estate expertise, sets CBRE Capital Advisors apart from competitors,” said Mr. Dietz.
