Johns Hopkins University is officially in the ice skating business, with less than a week to go before a pop-up rink opens on its Homewood campus.
The university has started taking online reservations for a 6,000-square-foot rink that has been created in place of the tennis courts near the intersection of Charles Street and University Parkway.
The original opening day for Baltimore’s newest ice rink was Jan. 14 but it was pushed back to Jan. 18 — closer to the Jan. 24 start of Hopkins’ 15-week spring semester.
