Share Our Strength CEO Tom Nelson to Retire

After 10 years of dedicated service to our mission to end hunger and poverty in the U.S. and abroad, Share Our Strength’s President and CEO Tom Nelson will retire effective June 30, 2022. Tom has been a caring and inclusive leader, with deep integrity and commitment to mission impact. We are grateful for his service and excited for his future personal endeavors.

Share Our Strength – the organization that runs the No Kid Hungry campaign – has had an unprecedented impact during Tom’s tenure, contributing to an historic reduction in childhood hunger prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, and a massive infusion of emergency assistance during the pandemic. Our track record under Tom’s leadership guarantees growing support and impact in the years ahead.

The Share Our Strength Board of Directors has engaged Koya Partners, an executive search firm that specializes in leading mission-driven searches at the senior level, to conduct a national search for Tom’s successor.
