Oliver Seidler, founder of fast-growing real estate investment firm PropertyForce, has launched a new Renegade Rules podcast to share the stories of people who enjoy unconventional lives and have achieved success playing by their own rules.
The podcast follows the success of his Amazon best-selling book, “A Renegade’s Rules: How a “C” Student Created an “A” Life, and How You Can, Too.”
Both the podcast and the book highlight tips and traits needed to see opportunities and overcome challenges with hard work, resilience and courage.
In Seidler’s case, he recounts his journey from waiting tables to heading up a company that has “reinvented real estate investing.” Using a unique tech-, data- and culture-driven model, PropertyForce has experienced explosive growth.
In the past year, PropertyForce staff has grown to about 65, and Seidler projects the company will handle real estate investment sales worth as much as $200 million, with revenue of about $30 million, proving his book’s title that a “C” student really can create an “A” life.
He likes to say that“A Renegade’s Rules” describes how to reach a life filled with more: options, excitement, challenge, fulfillment, and purpose.
The new Renegade Rules podcast is an extension of this theme and philosophy. It highlights other entrepreneurs, their experiences, their efforts and their outlooks that have taken different paths, but all leading to success.
A recent guest was Jason Beukema, founder of Miami-based Whet Travel, one of the fastest-growing travel and tourism companies in the country, and Groove Cruise, “The World’s Largest Floating Dance Music Festival.”
Seidler and Beukema both are members of Entrepreneurs’ Organization South Florida (EO SOFLO), which includes about 250 business owners who own companies with $2 billion in annual revenues and 10,000 employees in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. EO SOFLO is one of the largest EO chapters in the world.
Seidler joined EO about 12 years ago as part of the chapter’s Accelerator program, and credits the organization with a great part of his company’s growth and success. He learned of the organization when he was selling an investment property to EO SOFLO past-president Jerry Katz, founder of Fort Lauderdale-based Premier Protection Insurance.
“At first, EO learning resources were the most valuable part of membership for a start-up entrepreneur, because there are so many things you just don’t know how to handle,” Seidler says. “And the education never really stops no matter how big your business expands, as you share experiences and find support with your EO Forum and entrepreneur peers who have overcome many of the same business and personal challenges you’re going to face at every stage of growth.”
Jason Loeb, founder of South FloridaSudsies dry cleaning company and current EO SOFLO president, says Seidler personifies the EO core principles of innovation, collaboration, support and giving back.
“Oliver is a fearless entrepreneur who developed a truly innovative model of wholesale real estate investing during a very difficult market period, and now it’s booming,” Loeb says. “Sharing stories of his journey, especially the lessons he learned along the way so others can benefit, is what we do in our EO and entrepreneur community. Every business owner would be smart to study A Renegade’s Rules and tune into the new podcast.”
Seidler’s “A Renegade’s Rules: How a “C” Student Created an “A” Life, and How You Can, Too” can be found on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and other places books are sold.
The Renegade Rules podcast is available on numerous podcast platforms, including Apple, Google, Amazon, RSS, Spotify, YouTube and iHeartRadio.
