Joseph Gratta, CEO and General Counsel at Atlantic Mechanical and Gratta Property Management and Development in Weymouth, MA has been named to the Southfield Redevelopment Authority.
A native of Norwell, MA Gratta earned a bachelor’s degree in legal studies with a minor in Italian from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He earned a Juris Doctorate degree and an MBA from Suffolk University. He is an active board member of the South Shore Chamber of Commerce and is currently serving as Second Chair and on the Housing Committee.
The Southfield Redevelopment Authority is the local governmental agency at the former South Weymouth Naval Air Station. The 1,400-acre community of Union Point (formerly SouthField) is located within the three host communities of Abington, Rockland and Weymouth.
Established in 1998 by the Massachusetts Legislature as the South Shore Tri-Town Development Corporation and reconstituted in August 2014 as the Southfield Redevelopment Authority to reinforce municipal control over land-use and development decisions affecting each of the three towns.
