Cassia Commons to feature 44 residences in Lauderdale Lakes
Pulte Homes, one of the nation’s largest homebuilders, is adding a new townhome community in Lauderdale Lakes. Cassia Commons is the builder’s sixth new residential development in Broward County since re-entering the market in 2016. Pulte recently acquired five acres for Cassia Commons next to one of its actively selling communities, Cassia Estates, which offers single-family homes.
“We are proud to offer new townhomes in Broward County, an area that is heavily land constrained, with limited new construction available right now,” said Brent Baker, PulteGroup’s Southeast Florida divisional president. “Cassia Commons is ideal for entry-level buyers who desire to own a new home, without a lot of additional costs and upkeep that might come with a similar priced older resale home.”
Cassia Commons will have relatively low homeowners’ association fees and no community development fees, Baker said. The gated community will have walking trails for owners to get some exercise and enjoy the outdoors.
Prices for the 44 townhomes have yet to be determined. Buyers can take advantage of increased loan limits on federal government-backed mortgages.
Cassia Commons is ideally located midway between Florida’s Turnpike and I-95. The community is bordered by NW 30th Street to the north, NW 33rd Ave to the west, and Somerset Drive to the east. Residents will be just minutes away from downtown Fort Lauderdale by car.
