Full-service marketing firm Intermark Group has hired Laura Lee as vice president, Communications and Media, CEO Jake McKenzie announced today. She is replacing retiring industry legend Jim Poh who was SVP communications and media director at Intermark Group for seven years.
Lee’s responsibilities include oversight of the Communications and Media department and working with all clients, specifically, Troy University, Physicians Mutual, and Alabama Tourism Department. Most recently, she was director of media at Modo Modo Agency in Atlanta. Before that, she spent 14 years leading the Media department at Jackson Spalding.
Lee is a strong marketing professional with a demonstrated history of creating strategic and effective media plans for brands across numerous industries. Skilled in digital strategy, advertising, integrated marketing, and marketing strategy, she has the broad knowledge and experience to combine these two disciplines.
“Replacing a media legend like Jim Poh is no easy task, but Laura is the rare leader who is up to the task,” said McKenzie. “Her focus on using media to drive measurable behavior change fits with our focus on psychology-driven marketing.
