ACG Philadelphia Appoints Alison Garber Executive Director

ACG Philadelphia is very pleased to announce that Alison (Ali) Garber has joined the organization as Executive Director.

Ali has built her career in strategic programming and fundraising, connecting people to the mission of organizations, and catapulting those connections to greater engagement. Most recently, Ali served as Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Venture for America, an organization that creates economic opportunity in American cities by mobilizing the next generation of entrepreneurs, where she built, maintained, and expanded relationships with over 100 corporate partners, individuals, and foundations and engaged key stakeholders through programming and events. Before Venture for America, Ali held several senior positions within the Jewish Federation system. With a mission to support social welfare, social services, and educational needs, Ali collaborated with leadership to raise hundreds of millions of dollars in the Jewish community.

“At our core, ACG Philadelphia is a member-driven organization focused on fostering connections within our community of over 600 middle-market deal professionals and industry leaders who invest in, grow and build our region’s businesses,” said Anne Vazquez, President of ACG Philadelphia and General Partner at NewSpring. “Ali has decades of experience driving engagement and facilitating connections that create mutual value and lead to lasting partnerships, and we’re thrilled to leverage her expertise and enthusiasm to benefit our members.”

“I appreciate the board’s confidence in me, and I am very excited to step into this role and lead an organization with such a strong reputation for success and innovation,” remarked Garber. “I am eager to get to know the members and community, and to continue to deliver superior opportunities for networking, deal flow, and programming ensuring that ACG remains the go to for dealmakers in the region.”

Garber succeeds Stephanie McAlaine, who has served as ACG Philadelphia’s Executive Director for the past twenty years and who accepted a new role with ACG as Chief Customer Officer in the Fall of 2021.
