Locally owned and operated fitness center debuts third location at the Forsyth mixed-use destination
The Forum Athletic Club, a cutting-edge fitness center featuring state-of-the-art equipment and various fitness classes, will officially open at Halcyon on March 1, announced developer RocaPoint Partners. Furthering RocaPoint’s vision to bring a variety of health and wellness amenities to the Forsyth community, Halcyon will be home to the gym’s third location, joining existing clubs at Lenox Mall and Ponce City Market.
“At Halcyon, we’ve placed a strong emphasis on bringing in local businesses that share our passion for community-driven experiences,” said Phil Mays, principal at RocaPoint Partners. “The Forum’s family-owned nature, Atlanta roots and array of fitness programs is exactly what the mixed-use village needed. We look forward to watching the energy it adds to Halcyon while also advancing the health and wellness goals of our community members.”
Locally owned and operated by former NFL players Dan Owens and Roman Fortin, The Forum blends world-class workouts with a friendly, community atmosphere. Spanning a 23,000-square-foot space, The Forum at Halcyon’s two-story fitness center comprises cardio and strength-based equipment, designated training areas and modernized locker rooms. In addition to traditional gym capabilities, The Forum offers high-energy, results-driven fitness programs and group classes taught by certified trainers with a range of expertise, from core development and weight loss to strength building and athletic training. Different from its other locations, the Halcyon club will have an adjacent turf fitness field for athletes to take their workouts outdoors.
“We chose to open The Forum Athletic Club at Halcyon because we saw an opportunity to be a part of a fun and growing community that could benefit from having a top-of-the-line fitness facility nearby,” said Roman Fortin, owner of The Forum. “We are passionate about health and are looking forward to adding a culture of fitness and various workout options to the Halcyon area!”
As a small family business, The Forum understands circumstances change and tries to keep memberships simple and the cancellation process easy by offering no contracts. Members will be charged on a weekly basis and will have access to all three locations and select group classes. The Forum at Halcyon will be open seven days a week from 5 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. For more information on membership packages at Halcyon, click here.
In May 2021, Halcyon began its second phase of development to build upon the 135-acre, trail-oriented community’s growth and influence in the area. In addition to the opening of The Forum, Phase 2 includes the lease-up of Building 1100, a 60,000-square-foot office building with state-of-the-art and wellness-minded design, construction and technology. The four-story creative office space is home to forward-thinking tenants, like pharmaceutical company Alimera Sciences, and will soon welcome online grilling and outdoor products retailer BBQGuys.
As a community gathering staple for Forsyth County and the Metro Atlanta area, Halcyon boasts an array of restaurant, retail, entertainment and recreational offerings that invite guests to come together and share new experiences. In addition to new retail and restaurant openings, Halcyon will celebrate the reopening of the Big Creek Greenway, a nature trail that will span more than 40 miles once completed.
