Charles Manger Joins Compass Sales Team in the Hamptons

Compass’ latest hire comes off the heels of a record year for the company on the East End

Last year, Compass was involved in approximately 30.0 percent of all residential real estate transactions at or above $10 million in the Hamptons, totaling  $2.84 billion in transaction volume. Joining Compass in the Hamptons to aid in this substantial presence within the ultra-luxury market is industry veteran and respected local executive Charles Manger. Manger joins Compass following an extensive career in the financial and real estate industries, previously establishing NYC-based Brown Harris Stevens as a brokerage on the East End and serving as a board member for the Hamptons and North Fork Realtors’ Association.

“We are tremendously proud of how much we have grown in the Tri-State while maintaining our collaborative and agent-first culture,” said Gordon Golub, Tri-State Regional Vice President. “Charles is a perfect match for us as a respected leader in the community and will play an integral role in helping our East End agents continue to grow their business.”

Compass has recently been expanding its leadership sales team from coast-to-coast. Earlier this month, the firm announced the hiring of Corcoran’s former President of Sales Bill Cunningham to work as managing director of sales in Hawaii. In November, Fritz Frigan joined Compass as sales manager, having previously worked with Brown Harris Stevens and Halstead.

“I admire the Compass success story and how they have pushed the industry into a new age of innovation with modern tools and unique programs,” said Charles. “After a few years working in finance and tech, I am excited to join a tech-enabled real estate firm that prioritizes agents’ needs.”

Compass equips agents with a technology platform that optimizes the way they run their business, from customer service management to marketing. The platform is updated regularly by hundreds of engineers. Over the summer, the company introduced Video Studio, an AI-powered, video-based suite of tools that empowers agents to create professional, custom listing videos in minutes and share them seamlessly with their networks.

In February, the firm released its first ultra-luxury report on the $10 million and over residential real estate market in the Hamptons and across the country, noting 112 sales at $2.1 billion industry-wide on the East End alone, representing a 35.0 percent and a 45.0 percent increase year-over-year.
