
WALTHAM, Mass – ( BUSINESS WIRE ) – Wolters Kluwer, Health announced the appointment of Christian Cella as Vice President of Clinical Effectiveness for the International Market. The appointment underlines the company’s renewed commitment to accelerate the adoption of its solutions in the Asian, South American and European healthcare markets, supporting healthcare facilities and professionals in the process of reducing clinical variability and improving the quality of care.
The Health Division of Wolters Kluwer, a provider of reliable technology and evidence-based solutions in the clinical setting that enable healthcare facilities, doctors, researchers and students to improve decision-making and clinical outcomes, has appointed Christian Cella as new International Vice President for Clinical Effectiveness .
Christian Cella, 45, Genoese by origin and currently based in Madrid, after graduating in Business Administration from Bocconi University in Milan and having held the role of Strategy Consultant at Roland Berger, joined Wolters Kluwer in 2007 as a member of Central Strategy Department of the company, based in Brussels.
In 2010 he became Director of Strategies for Southern Europe (Italy, France and Spain) of the Legal & Regulatory division of Wolters Kluwer. In 2013 he moved to Brazil to deal with Business Development for Emerging and Developing Markets for Wolters Kluwer, Health, until he was appointed, in 2017, Vice President of Global Product, Strategy & Market Development, Emerging Markets (Brazil, India and China). From 2019 to early 2022, Christian Cella holds the position of Vice President for the international market of the Medi-Span® medication decision support solution, within the Clinical Effectiveness division of Wolters Kluwer, Health.
In his new role as International Vice President of the Clinical Effectiveness division of Wolters Kluwer, Health, Christian Cella will aim to increase the adoption of clinical decision support solutions in the various international markets and to introduce new solutions such as Medication Decision Support, in a way to reduce clinical variability and improve the clinical efficacy of health facilities.
