Manu Meel is passionate about empowering young people and bridging political divides in our country. Manu serves as the CEO of BridgeUSA, a national organization that is investing in the future of democracy. BridgeUSA is developing the next generation of engaged, informed, and constructive citizens. The movement catalyzes the passion of the next generation to invest in the future of democracy. BridgeUSA champions ideological diversity, promotes a solution-oriented political culture, and teaches constructive engagement in order to develop a generation of political leaders that value empathy and common purpose.
Through his work, Manu has contributed to several news outlets, advanced pro-democracy efforts nationally, and led the policy operation for a Baltimore mayoral candidate. In the past, Manu worked as an associate at the venture capital firm Amplo and at the Department of State as a political analyst in counterterrorism. His work has been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Post, and other media platforms.

Q1: As a young leader, you have made some great strides in helping to develop the next generation of engaged and informed citizens. Tell us a little bit about yourself and what inspired you to join the BridgeUSA movement.

The Bridge Alliance is a coalition of over 90 organizations dedicated to rejuvenating America. With each organization focusing on a different sector of the movement, our members represent a combined three million supporters in the burgeoning field of civic reform and civil discourse. David has chaired the Maryland Public Broadcasting Commission and the Maryland Higher Education Loan Corporation, served as President of both the Jewish National Fund and the Towson Business Association and was a member of the PNC Bank board.
