RangeWater Appoints Josh Colter as Director of Acquisitions for the Southeast

RangeWater Real Estate announced today the appointment of Josh Colter as Director of Acquisitions for the Southeast, where he will spearhead the company’s initiatives for new multifamily acquisitions and equity partners, while also overseeing RangeWater’s current multifamily portfolio in the region.

Josh brings to RangeWater more than 16 years of global, national and regional expertise in acquisitions, private equity, asset management and JV structuring. Since 2015, he has been responsible for over $1.7 billion of multifamily apartment, hotel and office acquisitions.

“Josh brings a strong understanding of asset management and acquisitions to the team,” said Andrew Wittgen, Executive Managing Director at RangeWater. “His natural ability to build relationships coupled with his background in multifamily real estate will allow him to advance RangeWater’s portfolio across the Southeast region.”

Based in Miami, Josh will focus on private equity investments and multifamily development, acquisitions and operations across active markets in Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. He plans to source and invest in different styles of properties to expand RangeWater’s portfolio, from value-add deals to core plus investments to new developments.

“My past experiences have instilled a ‘grind until it’s done’ mentality and I noticed that same quality in the people at RangeWater,” said Colter. “Coming from fast-paced, competitive environments, I was eager to find an opportunity that matched that in the real estate world. My background in corporate finance and multifamily acquisitions has prepared me for this role and I’m looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish with RangeWater this year and beyond.”

Prior to joining RangeWater, Colter garnered a vast range of experience with roles in investment banking, trading, capital markets and acquisitions. He holds a double masters degree from EDHEC Business School in financial economics and risk & investment management, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Central Florida.
