Gregory Joseph serves as Communications Director with American Promise.
American Promise assembled the first cross-partisan Advisory Council to speak out for the creation of the 28th Amendment. These American leaders represent thoughtful viewpoints from a variety of political, economic, and demographic perspectives. The proposed 28th Amendment empowers American voters to end the escalating influence of big money that dominates our elections.
Gregory Joseph is a seasoned communications professional and writer. With experience working within non-profit, political and advocacy media, Gregory has managed numerous political and advocacy campaigns, as well as directing communications, research and policy departments. Most recently, Gregory served as Communications Director for the National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty (NCADP), the nation’s oldest non-profit solely devoted to ending capital punishment. Prior to NCADP, Gregory served as a Director with the Washington-DC based communications firm, Spitfire Strategies. Gregory has worked on statewide campaigns in North Carolina, California, Texas, New Jersey, New York and Minnesota. In addition, Gregory served as Senior Staff on Bill Bradley’s 2000 Presidential campaign. Gregory got his professional start as an aide to former U.S. Senator Carol Moseley-Braun.

Q1: Tell us a little bit about your inspiration for joining American Promise.

Q3: As a cross-partisan organization, your work is more important today than ever in bridging divides. Where does the 28th Amendment issue stand today?
Q4: Following the events of January 6th in Washington, D.C., many companies are looking more closely at their campaign spending and political contributions. Tell us a little more about this growing movement and how American Promise is supporting it.
Q5: American Promise has some exciting events on the horizon. Tell us about your upcoming conference.

The Bridge Alliance is a coalition of over 90 organizations dedicated to rejuvenating America. With each organization focusing on a different sector of the movement, our members represent a combined three million supporters in the burgeoning field of civic reform and civil discourse. In addition, more than one billion dollars has been invested towards improving government effectiveness nationwide.
The Bridge Alliance acts as a hub of information and connectivity for over 90 civic action organizations.
We provide the infrastructure for our members to expand individually, collaborate on shared goals, and inform others that are invested in democracy revitalization. This generates a collective impact for greater than any one group could make alone.

David is a Past President of the Board of Governors for the Center Club and is a former Chairman of the Board of Regents for the University System of Maryland, a position to which he was appointed by the Governor of Maryland. David has chaired the Maryland Public Broadcasting Commission and the Maryland Higher Education Loan Corporation, served as President of both the Jewish National Fund and the Towson Business Association and was a member of the PNC Bank board.
