Digital creative agency UNFOLD has hired industry vet Jason Berk as head of Social.
Berk brings his 20-plus years of lifestyle, entertainment, and traditional brand marketing to UNFOLD as its new head of Social. He will oversee a department of more than 50 seasoned professionals and be involved in all aspects of the teams’ organic, paid and performance social practices. In addition to operational leadership, Berk will shepherd UNFOLD’s business and client growth beyond its enormous success within entertainment marketing.
Berk comes to UNFOLD from Sid Lee USA, where he was head of Social and Digital. While there, his entertainment team launched tentpole titles for Netflix (13 Reasons Why, Triple Frontier, Extraction, The Old Guard, and 6 Underground), as well as branded social channels for Tubi, STARZPLAY, IMDb TV, and HBO Max.
Known as a creative and highly effective general manager with passion for entertainment and pop culture, Berk has built social teams that drive profitable growth across tech, media and lifestyle. These include social AOR for TikTok, eBay’s Creative Content Studio, UGG Boots, Dickies, and Dos Equis.
“Jason is an important part of our continued success in the social space. Especially now as we are bringing on exciting new clients like DC Comics, Roku and TikTok. He brings an incredible mix of grit and experience managing high-performing teams. We know our clients and team will benefit greatly from his leadership,” added UNFOLD President and CEO Daniel Weisinger.
