Drapac Capital Partners, an Atlanta-based investment group, today announced the appointment of Adam K. Mitchell to Director of Real Estate, as the firm continues to execute its property investment and divestment strategy.
In his role at Drapac, Mitchell will oversee the investment, development and disposal strategy for Drapac’s real estate portfolio, which spans more than 12,000 acres across multiple markets. Most recently serving as Director of Portfolio Management at St. Bourke, a subsidiary of Drapac specializng in community placemaking and development, Mitchell comes to Drapac with more than seven years of both transactional and asset management experience.
“Adam has a unique understanding of our goals and vision for Drapac, which was fostered through our long-held partnership with St. Bourke. He intimately understands our investment model and how to support our objectives from a portfolio management perspective,” said Sebastian Drapac, Chief Operating Officer at Drapac. “As we strategically grow our real estate team, Adam’s strong project management expertise, industry relationships and understanding of real estate value investments will enrich the work we are carrying out across our portfolio.”

He was selected to represent the United States as a member of the Walker Cup Team. Adam was also a member of the University of Georgia Golf Team and elected team captain during his senior year, where he graduated with his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance.
“As I step into this new position, I am eager to leverage my skills learned in project management, finance, and whilst competing in high-level athletics to continue the dynamic, record-setting work Drapac has accomplished in the real estate investment space,” said Mitchell. “In this rapidly evolving landscape, Drapac has been able to establish itself as a true leader in the market through a savvy investment strategy, and it is an honor and privilege to contribute to these efforts going forward.”
After entering the U.S. market after the Great Recession decimated land values, Drapac committed to a patient medium-term hold strategy that is now generating outsized returns as land prices skyrocket. In 2021, Drapac had a land transaction volume of $89 million. With only one-third of its U.S. land portfolio sold to date, Drapac has achieved a 49% running internal rate of return.
