Rene Hamilton, Managing Director at Helmsley Spear, was honored at the inaugural Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) Fellows Graduation. Mr. Hamilton gave remarks to his fellow classmates on the current real estate industry in New York.
“Real estate touches more that our professional community,” said Mr. Hamilton, “From graduates developing Affordable Housing strategies or creating new office stock, to property managers operating housing that New Yorkers will call home in the post pandemic version of our city, we are uniquely networked to collaborate or partner with individuals who will bring New York back to the apex of urban life.”
Mr. Hamilton joined the Helmsley Spear team in 2019. Previously, he was a tenant agent with Vicus Partners, a boutique tenant representation brokerage firm. His clients ranged from international financial firms, to light manufacturing and prominent law firms. Mr. Hamilton participates in community development activities through broad personal involvement contributing his professional expertise on many levels.
“My hope is that as New York emerges out of this pandemic, our Cohort’s brand of leadership will extend beyond deal making to placemaking. I look forward to seeing my fellow graduates and their networks consider how the knowledge and skillset we collectively together can help us model leadership,” said Mr. Hamilton.

Mr. Hamilton is an alumni of Williams College, located in Williamstown, Massachusetts, where he received his BA degree.
