South Florida technology entrepreneur Chris Brisson has simple explanation for why his new Salesmsg business texting platform has achieved such rapid success.
“Our core focus has always been to build great products, features, and solutions that solve REAL problems for our customers,” he says. “Salesmsg is simple and scalable for companies of any size to easily and efficiently send, receive, and manage two-way SMS and marketing campaigns online.”
Founded in 2017, the company is on track to reach $10 million in revenue this year, up from $3 million in 2021, earning Salesmsg a rank of 27th on the Inc. 5000 List of the Fastest-Growing Companies in the Southeast United States. Brisson says Salesmsg is just about to hit “hypergrowth” stage on the path to $50 million annual revenue in the next three to five years.
His vision is for Salesmsg to become the “leading global all-in-one omni-channel messaging platform for sales, marketing and support teams.”
Even with the explosive growth and big goals, Brisson describes the Salesmsg strategy to date as “methodical, calculated and conservative, 100 percent bootstrapped with no outside capital.”
Based in Delray Beach, he has created Salesmsg as a 100% remote company, currently with 28 employees from across the nation and globe, including staff in Florida, California, New York, Utah, Wisconsin, Mexico, Costa Rica, Portugal, Spain, Ukraine, Belarus and Russia.
Brisson credits Entrepreneurs’ Organization South Florida, with “game-changing” support and advice in managing the business, including components such as recruiting talent and managing staff.
He first joined the organization’s Accelerator program in 2016, and now serves on the EO SOFLO board, creating events that are impactful, engaging and inspiring for the group’s 300 members. As one of the largest EO chapters in the world, EO SOFLO members run companies in in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties with more than 10,000 employees and $2 billion in annual revenues.
“Everyone at EO is willing to help. If you really have a pressing problem, need an introduction, or are going into another state, there is ALWAYS a member who will provide a hand,” Brisson says.
“Chris likes to say give way more than you take, and success will come your way,” says Lil Roberts, incoming president of EO SOFLO and founder of Xendoo online bookkeeping and accounting platform. “That’s an EO core principle that we’re happy to see working so well for Chris and Salesmsg.”
