Virginia Business Names Jessica Butterworth a Women in Leadership Honoree

Colliers is pleased to announce Jessica Butterworth, director of engineering services REMS Virginia, Raleigh, NC, and the Government Solutions Group, has been selected by Virginia Business as one of 42 honorees for their Women in Leadership awards. Over 300 nominations were received by the publication this year.

Jessica Butterworth joined Colliers in 2007 as  office manager for the Richmond office. She has been promoted numerous times throughout her time with the company. Her roles have included assistant property manager, property manager, and building services coordinator. In 2018, she was promoted to her current position of Director of Engineering Services and in 2021 she was elected as a partner in the firm by her peers. In her role, she oversees building engineering services for the Colliers offices in Richmond, Charlottesville, Norfolk and Fredericksburg, Virginia as well as Greensboro and Raleigh, North Carolina. Her team includes more than 150 employees throughout the United States.

Butterworth is an active member of the Institute of Real Estate Manager (IREM) working on the local community service committee. In addition, she is a Certified Property Manager (CPM) candidate with IREM, a Real Property Administrator (RPA) candidate with BOMA International and is involved with other local community service efforts.

Outside of work, Jessica is very involved in her church, volunteers with her sons Boy Scouts troop, and is a member of the James River Ball Patrons Committee which is a foundation that raises money for fine arts programs for children in Jessica’s hometown of Hopewell, Virginia.

According to Virginia Business, nominees must be based in Virginia and hold C-suite or equivalent positions at for-profit businesses, nonprofits or educational institutions. Nominees overall career accomplishments, community engagement and mentoring work with women and girls were factors considered in selecting this years honorees.
