Kaufman Borgeest & Ryan Leases Full Floor at Global Holdings’ 875 Third Ave.

JLL announced that law firm Kaufman Borgeest & Ryan, LLP, has leased a full floor at Global Holdings Management Group’s Class A Midtown East office tower at 875 Third Ave.

KBR was founded in 1997 to provide the highest quality legal services to domestic and international clients. The firm specializes in defending professionals and businesses as well as in the representation of insurers, including coverage litigation.  It now has more than 140 lawyers and 230 employees in Manhattan, Garden City, Valhalla and Buffalo, New York, as well as in Los Angeles, CA, Stamford, CT, and Parsippany and Cherry Hill, NJ.

KBR will relocate from 120 Broadway to occupy 27,117 square feet under a 15-year lease. The company was previously a tenant at Global Holdings’ 99 Park Ave.

JLL leasing professionals overseeing the 875 Third Ave. leasing assignment are led by Paul N. Glickman, vice chairman; Diana L. Biasotti, senior vice president; Kristen E. Morgan, vice president, and Harrison G. Potter, associate. The tenant was represented by Howard Greenberg, president of Howard Properties, Ltd., Valhalla New York, who has exclusively represented KBR for more than 22 years in partnership with Barry Lewen, a principal at Cresa.

Originally developed in 1982 by Robert Gladstone, 875 Third Ave. is a 29-story, 750,000 square foot, glass clad office tower located between 52nd and 53rd Streets. Home to numerous high-profile tenants, the property boasts a unique design that creates double-height ceilings on some floors, as well as a recently renovated three-story lobby atrium that highlights Global Holdings’ commitment to maintaining 875 Third as a premier address in New York’s corporate heart.

Global Holdings will soon welcome creative salad company Chopt as a tenant within its renovated lobby atrium, joining I Tavolo, Starbucks and Dunkin. The atrium also houses a number of services including KUR Skin Lab, A’s Body Works and Janet Sartin, and offers direct connection to multiple subway lines, allowing for direct transit to Grand Central, Penn Station, and Port Authority.

“With over 600 linear feet of windows, 875 Third’s floorplates provide a uniquely efficient envelope for law firms,” said Glickman. “Along with the first-class amenities, transportation and ownership, the building offers an extremely attractive package for today’s tenants,” he added.

Craig Panzirer, senior vice president and director of leasing, Global Holdings Management Group, said: “We are delighted KBR has chosen to relocate to this strategically located, Class A tower that meets all of the demands of today’s office tenants in terms of talent attraction and retention.”
