Hord Coplan Macht (HCM) announces that it has promoted John Harris, AIA, LEED AP, to Managing Principal of its Baltimore office. In his new role, Harris will continue with his project work but also will oversee day-to-day operations, culture and staff development for the Baltimore office.
“John’s contribution to HCM over the last 20 years has been immeasurable and we are thrilled to announce his promotion to Managing Principal of our Baltimore office to continue to lead us forward along a positive growth path,” says Tim Barnhill, Chief Operating Officer, Hord Coplan Macht.
Since joining the firm in 2002, Harris has focused his work on mixed-use housing where he has experience in a variety of housing types from medium density mid-rise housing to high-rise urban mixed-use projects. He has led several highly complicated projects like the recently completed Kelvin + eNvy in Washington, DC.
“I am passionate about our people, our clients and creating great spaces. My new role as Managing Principal will allow me to have a more significant impact on the culture and the overall growth of the firm and our Baltimore office,” says Harris. “I am looking forward to expanding my leadership role at HCM and having an opportunity to make a larger contribution to the organization.”
