Body scrubs, body wraps and Honey Magnolia Milk Massages number among The Spa’s new boutique service offerings for guests
The Spa at The Hotel at the University of Maryland is unveiling a refreshed spa menu featuring exclusive services and new products from the FarmHouse Fresh skin care company. Led by General Manager Shanna Wisniewski, the experienced wellness professionals at The Spa collaborated to offer curated services that offer a more personalized, elevated experience for all guests at The Spa. New facials, body scrubs, body treatments, massages, manicures and pedicures will be available for guests of The Hotel and day-spa visitors alike. The new spa menu debuts today and patrons can begin booking services.
As the only boutique spa in College Park, Maryland, The Spa offers a range of services that include luxury massages, facials, aromatherapy, hot stones, microdermabrasion, manicures, pedicures and waxing for the face and body.
“We invited our guests to offer us feedback during our first year of operations at The Spa, and we carefully considered the comments and suggestions we received,” Wisniewski said. “We believe these new spa service offerings will offer one of the most distinctive spa escapes for those seeking relaxation, refreshment and rejuvenation. We’re also equally excited to partner with FarmHouse Fresh to bring their dynamic skin care products to our Spa guests.”
FarmHouse Fresh is an organic, natural skin care company specializing in freshly harvested botanicals grown fresh daily and served farm-to-table style through spas across the country and around the world. Each FarmHouse Fresh product uses 100% natural fruits, vegetables and milks ranging from soothing avocado butter masks to a Honey Magnolia body oil incorporating honey and hints of magnolia flowers.

Facial Collection
· The Southern Difference Signature Facial: Guests at The Spa can enjoy a customized treatment combining exfoliation, steam, extractions, deep-pore cleansing with microdermabrasion technologies and a customized mask to thoroughly cleanse the skin.
· Away We Glow! Brightening Facial: This facial starts with a calming cleanser and illuminating tonic, coupled with a renewing fruit acid mask and calming oils. An advanced peptide and retinol-rich facial hydrator creates a tighter, brighter complexion.
· Superfoods Stress Recovery Facial: Powered by microencapsulated niacinamide, superfoods and adaptogens, this facial treats the five signs of stress-induced aging, including redness, worry lines and dehydration.
Massage Collection
· Honey Magnolia Milk Massage: Steaming fruit oil-infused towels nourish skin with antioxidants and vitamins, while a sweetened body milk massage delivers hints of magnolia flowers, cream and hints of honey.
· Bamboo Himalayan Salt Stone Massage: This massage incorporates 84 naturally occurring minerals from Himalayan salt stones in a massage experience that provides gentle exfoliation, alleviates muscle tension and stimulates circulation in the body.
· Prenatal Massage: Women who are at least 14 weeks pregnant and have consulted with their physicians can receive therapeutic bodywork that focuses on the special needs of moms-to-be to enhance muscle and joint functioning, circulation and relief from mental and physical fatigue.
