Vertosoft, ranked #3 in the Washington Business Journal for the fastest growing companies in Greater D.C., is a government technology solutions provider headquartered at 1602 Village Market Blvd in Leesburg, VA. Represented by Edward Saa and Timothy Jacobs, Vertosoft is moving and tripling their headquarters offices to 14,000 SF to accommodate their growing company. Their new offices will feature a 30-person training center that will enable them to leverage and provide their clients and providers a space to work and collaborate.
Vertosoft experienced such significant growth during the Pandemic that when employees migrated back into the office, they simply didn’t have enough space. They loved their retail rich location at The Village of Leesburg and didn’t want to move but they needed a solution fast. They partnered with real estate firm Ethos Tenant Co.to take advantage of the favorable market conditions to minimize rent spend and maximize footprint flexibility
Jay Colavita President at Vertosoft, told Saa and Jacobs, “Prior to the pandemic we wouldn’t have entertained a hybrid work model but when we came back into the office our employees seemed to really enjoy the hybrid work life balance, but we didn’t want to lose the value of those in person interactions where employees can collaborate and develop their skills. After surveys and discussions, we learned that much of our staff wanted to maintain the hybrid model permanently. When we looked at the numbers, we found out that not only did it increase employee satisfaction, but it also increased production and retention. It was the best of both worlds.”
Edward Saa explains, “We knew that Vertosoft wanted to remain in Loudoun County. After leveraging multiple buildings, we were able to help them discover that repurposing their footprint to another floor with new finishes tailored to the new way they work made the most sense. Their best option was right in front of them all along.”
The space features many huddle areas and meeting rooms that give Vertosoft both flexibility and support collaboration. With their employees eating lunch together daily and recognizing the importance of a community-based corporate culture they made sure they had a kitchen space that could accommodate this. Other highlights that support this culture included a lounge area, game room with ping pong, a wellness area for individuals to relax, and their new 30-person training center.
