Maryland colleges were among the top ranked schools in U.S. News & World Report’s annual universities list.
Johns Hopkins University tied for seventh place with University of Pennsylvania for best national university. Princeton University topped those rankings as number one.
Hopkins was the highest ranked Maryland institution on the national universities list. The school has an annual tuition of over $60,000 and had enrolled 6,132 undergraduate students as of fall 2021, according to the report.
