Bentley Systems Appoints Michael Campbell as Chief Product Officer

EXTON, Pa.–( BUSINESS WIRE )–Bentley Systems, Incorporated (Nasdaq: BSY), the provider of infrastructure engineering software, today announced the appointment of Michael Campbell as Chief Product Officer. He will lead more than 1,500 colleagues within the Product Advancement group. Michael Campbell joins Bentley from engineering software leader PTC Inc. (Nasdaq: PTC), where he spent his entire career after graduating in mechanical engineering from Boston University in 1995. At PTC , he was product manager for the company’s consumer design applications, and responsible for its IoT acquisitions, and he most recently served as executive vice president and general manager for its augmented reality offerings. Michael Campbell will be responsible for setting Bentley’s product strategy and managing the product development stage to advance the company’s leadership in infrastructure engineering software.

Extensive management responsibilities

Following its 2020 IPO, after 36 years of existence, Bentley Systems expects to continue its senior retirements in a smooth manner, increasing opportunities for meaningful internal promotions.

James Lawton has been named Chief Digital Officer , a newly created position. He joined Bentley through the acquisition of geoscience software maker Seequent in 2021. He will lead Bentley’s digital experience strategy and IT organization, shaping and delivering a seamless user experience and to Bentley associates across all digital touchpoints.

After serving six years as Chief Information Officer, Claire Rutkowski is now Senior Vice President , CIO Champion , leading solutions and advocacy for engineering companies, which contribute just over half of Bentley’s annual recurring revenue. Claire Rutkowski joined Bentley in 2016 after serving as CIO at major infrastructure engineering firm Stantec/MWH.

Suzanne Little has been promoted to the newly created position of Chief Colleague Success Officer , while Florence Zheng, Chief Talent Officer, has become an Organizational Succession Advisor to the Bentley Board of Directors. Suzanne Little will lead Bentley’s global HR functions and teams and be responsible for improving the overall co-worker experience. Previously, as Vice President of Talent, Suzanne Little led global talent operations, including talent acquisition and management, rewards, and talent systems and analytics.
