PHILADELPHIA–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Enclara Pharmacia, the market leader in comprehensive pharmacy management services to the hospice community, has announced the appointment of Tim Sanderson as Vice President, Business Development. He will lead a national team of experts who take a consultative approach to helping hospices improve patient care, support their clinical staff, and maintain regulatory compliance, all while effectively managing costs.
Sanderson brings a strong background in hospice and pharmacy networks with nearly 20 years of experience in sales and consulting in the pharmacy benefit management (PBM) sector. Through his own firm, Pink Tie Consulting, he has used his finance and pharmacy services experience to help healthcare organizations and their clients build value-based relationships to improve profitability and patient care. He also taught finance, as well as mergers and acquisitions, at his alma matter Oral Roberts University.
“Tim’s deep understanding of hospice needs and pharmacy networks supports our mission to provide custom solutions designed for the unique needs of each hospice organization,” said Deanna Douglass, PharmD, SVP of Business Development, Enclara. “He will help articulate our value proposition, not only as a pharmacy provider but as a trusted partner for hospices seeking to improve care, manage costs and embrace new opportunities.”
Prior to founding Pink Tie Consulting, Sanderson worked with a publicly traded PBM and several hospice PBMs, developing expertise and relationships that make him an invaluable resource to the hospice community. His deep understanding of pharmacy networks, claims processing technology, integrations and transitions to new providers will provide immediate benefit to Enclara and hospices seeking innovative solutions to their pharmacy needs.
“I’m grateful to join Enclara because it’s a mission-driven company that puts the patient at the center of everything it does. Good care means immediate care and Enclara’s combined mail order and local access model supports that,” Sanderson said. “Enclara has also made it our mission to provide personal service to hospices of all shapes and sizes, from the smallest not-for-profits and sole proprietors to some of the nation’s largest hospice providers. That’s something I am super excited to be a part of.”
Sanderson holds a Bachelor of Science in finance and a Master of Business Administration from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK with studies of finance and non-profit management during his graduate program.
