CGS3 Grows Partnership with Addition of Priya Huggett

Former General Counsel of Brixton Capital Joins Commercial Real Estate Law Firm

Crosbie Gliner Schiffman Southard & Swanson LLP (CGS3), a San Diego-based commercial real estate law firm, announced today the addition of its newest partner, Priya Huggett. Previously general counsel of Brixton Capital, a private real estate investment firm with more than $1 billion in assets, she joins CGS3’s acquisitions and dispositions, finance and commercial leasing practice groups and will be based in the firm’s San Diego office.

According to CGS3 founding partner Sean Southard, Huggett is another testament to the firm’s enduring commitment to attract best-in-class lawyers. “With her experience as both a “big-law” attorney and more importantly general counsel for a real estate investment company, Priya elevates our game on many levels – she understands and appreciates the importance of delivering an exceptional work product as part of our mission to provide a client experience defined by getting deals done quickly, efficiently and without burning bridges,” Southard said. “Her deep knowledge and breadth of expertise have brought immediate benefits to our partnership and clients, and we couldn’t be more pleased.”

With more than 20 years of experience in all facets of commercial real estate – including acquisitions, dispositions, development, leasing, finance and operations covering multifamily, retail, residential, hospitality and office assets – Huggett’s practice emphasizes a variety of corporate/commercial and real estate transactions, particularly private equity, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions and commercial contracts including vendor and licensing contracts. With respect to real property, her focus is on purchase and sale, commercial leasing, subdivision, easements and licenses, financing and related business matters.

While serving as general counsel for Brixton Capital, Huggett oversaw all legal aspects of Brixton and its affiliates – providing oversight and a legal perspective for the acquisition, leasing and disposition of properties.

Additionally, she was general counsel and executive vice president for Kelly Investment Group and senior vice president/general counsel for Sea Breeze Properties, LLC. She launched her commercial real estate career as an attorney for Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch LLP and Solomon Ward Seidenwurm and Smith LLP, working in their real estate, corporate and finance practice groups.

Active in the community, she currently serves on the board of directors for the New Children’s Museum. Additionally, she has provided pro bono legal services for Casa Cornelia, a public interest law firm that provides free legal services to victims of human and civil rights violations.

She holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in criminology and political science from Simon Fraser University and earned her LLB from University of British Columbia.
