Fermyon Technologies, a Longmont, CO-based WebAssembly in the Cloud company, raised $20M in Series A funding.
The round was led by Insight Partners with participation from Amplify Partners, Tyler McMullen, Grant Miller, Marc Campbell, Armon Dadgar, Daniel Lopez Ridruejo, and Lachlan Evenson.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to invest in serving the developer community and to productize Fermyon.
Led by CEO Matt Butcher and CTO Radu Matei, Fermyon is pioneering cloud computing with a cloud-native WebAssembly PaaS that lets developers build microservices faster. In March, the company released Fermyon Spin, a WebAssembly microservice development tool making it the easiest way to build WebAssembly microservices. In June, they released Fermyon Platform, a complete WebAssembly-based deployment platform for Fermyon Spin applications with an associated Web interface. Now, the company has introduced Fermyon Cloud, a secure hosted application platform for developers to build microservices quickly.
