Minto Announces 241 New Homesites In The Orchards Of Westlake

Minto Communities USA, the master developer and primary builder in Westlake, has opened sales for the second and final phase of The Orchards of Westlake.   The new section will feature 241 single-family homes on 50-and 65-foot homesites, many with water views. Buyers can choose from two unique home collections: The Cypress and The Indigo.

The Cypress Collection offers 15 floorplans with 2-5 bedrooms that will be built on 50-foot lots.  Home sizes range from 1,921 to 4,025 square feet under air with prices starting in the mid $400s.

The Indigo Collection includes 11 floorplans with 3-6 bedrooms. Homes range from 2,410 and 4,320 square feet under air and are offered on 65-foot lots.  Prices start in the low $500s.

“We are very pleased with the buyer response since opening The Orchards a year ago,” said Steve Svopa, Southeast division president of Minto Communities USA.  “I fully expect that sales momentum to continue into this second and final phase.”

The Orchards is bordered by Town Center Parkway North and Persimmon Boulevard.  When built out, it will have 599 homes.  In addition to single-family homes in The Orchards, Minto offers estate homes and townhomes in Westlake with prices starting from the $400s.  Nurses, paramedics, teachers and other public servants can take advantage of the Welcome Heroes™ program which gives a 3% discount off the base price of a new Minto home.

“With the price point and lifestyle combined, we believe Westlake provides one of the best values in Palm Beach County,” Svopa said. “We are still affordable even in this environment of rising interest rates.”

The 3,800-acre Westlake offers a $22 million-dollar amenities package that includes a resort-style lagoon pool with a water slide, a kids’ interactive splash pad and poolside concessions.  An expansive recreational lawn features a covered concert pavilion and grassy area for events, along with shade pavilions, grills, a picnic area, a BMX pump park, a playground, bocce ball courts and a dog park.  In the first quarter of 2023, Minto will open new basketball courts, an adult lap pool and a multi-purpose building.

Commercial development is also taking shape.   On the retail side, Publix is currently building a grocery store that will anchor a 140,000 square-foot shopping plaza the grocer will eventually develop.   Konover South is pursuing building permits to start construction on two open-air retail centers and a pod of quick-service restaurants.

On the office/industrial side, groundbreaking is expected by the end of 2022 on a 227,000 square-foot office/distribution center, while a different developer is close to finishing construction on the city’s first self-storage facility.   Just off Seminole Pratt Whitney Road, Christ Fellowship Church will soon open an 800-seat worship center to serve the regional area.  Over the past year, two 7-Eleven stores opened to the public as did a new regional service center for the Palm Beach County Tax Collector’s Office.
