ANF Group, Inc., a full-service construction firm providing construction management, general contracting, development, and design-build services, has been presented with an Eagle and a Pyramid Award for two of its projects at this year’s Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Florida East Coast Chapter 2022 Excellence in Construction (EIC) Awards. The EIC awards program is the industry’s leading competition that honors both general and specialty contractors for innovative and high-quality merit shop construction projects.
“We are honored and thrilled to be recognized by ABC for the team’s distinction in construction for these two prominent projects,” said Al Fernandez, President of ANF Group. “Our reputation is built on hard work and long-term relationships. This award is a true testament to our commitment to our clients and our community.”
ANF’s winning projects are:
- Eagle Award – Eurus at Miramar is a 280-unit apartment complex with one, two, and three-bedroom apartments on a 12.52-acre site in Miramar, FL. The new community is constructed with spacious floor plans and high-end finishes across seven 4-story buildings with elevator access. The gated community also includes 16 private garages, 623 parking spaces, 58,000 square feet of green space, a dog park, playground, clubhouse, and two resort-style pools with BBQ areas.
- Pyramid Award – Memorial Hospital Miramar, Medical Office Building II is a 4-story 126,000 square foot new construction project, which includes an Ambulatory Surgical Center and a Women’s Center. Memorial Healthcare System (MHS) will occupy some office space in the building and lease out the rest to physicians.
ABC Florida East Coast Chapter 2022 EIC Awards ceremony was held on October 20th at the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale. Dozens of businesses were recognized for safety, construction and more at the awards banquet.
The EIC annual awards honors every member of the construction team, including the contractor, owner, architect and engineer. The winning projects, selected from entries submitted across the FL East Coast, are judged on complexity, attractiveness, unique challenges overcome, completion time, workmanship, innovation, safety and cost.
Presently in its 41st year in business, the award-winning firm ANF Group is perhaps best known for building the $80 million Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, the $50 million Nova Southeastern University Center for Collaborative Research Facility in Davie, and for its work on approximately 150 different projects for Memorial Healthcare System. Founded in 1981, ANF is a family-owned and operated business led by Alberto Fernandez, Jr., Nelson Fernandez, and Alberto Gil.
