Revival Welcomes Maureen Cameron As Director Of Sales And Marketing

Revival, a JdV by Hyatt Hotel recently honored by Fodor’s Travel as one of the 92 most incredible hotels in the world, has announced the hiring of Maureen Cameron as its new director of sales and marketing.

In her position, Cameron will oversee the sales and event functions of the hotel. She plans to leverage the Fodor’s Finest Hotel Award bestowed upon Revival to advance marketing efforts and drive further acclaim.

Spanning over 10 years, Cameron’s experience in the hospitality industry equips her for success in this new role where she will determine sales targets and analyze profitability opportunities for Revival.

“Maureen’s keen recognition of revenue-growth strategies and her ability to capitalize on them will drive Revival toward even more resounding success,” said Cameron’s predecessor Armand Thelen, who remains with the Hyatt family after relocating to Europe to join Andaz Vienna Am Belvedere. “Her past achievements bode for a triumphant tenure at a hotel that boasts equally dynamic community involvement.”

Cameron joins Revival after spending more than a year and a half serving as community sales director of Brightview Senior Living. Although the pandemic brought her out of hospitality, Cameron is eager to return to the field she knows best. Prior to Brightview, she held various sales roles for hotels in and around Washington, D.C. Starting as an intern at a small hotel in her hometown, Cameron has worked her way through the industry and values the experience she has gained at both branded and independent properties.

“I’m honored to be joining a team that innovates through impact,” said Cameron. “Greater Baltimore is vibrant and diverse, making me excited to work with Revival’s partners, vendors and neighbors to collaborate on community-based initiatives.”

Cameron is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University, among the highest-ranked schools for hospitality and hotel management according to CEOWORLD. Graduating cum laude with a degree in hotel, restaurant and tourism management, Cameron has since relocated to Columbia, Maryland.

As part of her responsibilities at Revival, Cameron will advance the hotel’s priority to be inclusive and welcoming to all. She will curate social-impact programming and events, such as educational workshops, thought-provoking conversations, art pop-ups and spirit-free cocktail tastings. Specifically, she will oversee the hotel’s Charitable Charm Packages, in which groups that book meeting spaces are matched by Business Volunteers Maryland to organizations seeking volunteers and provided a return-on-investment report at the conclusion of their volunteer opportunity. In addition, she will tend to Revival’s partnerships with BIPOC-helmed business, such as those with Lor Tush, Sole Wash, Black Acres Roastery and Art of Balance Wellness Spa.
