Willow, the leading provider of digital twin solutions for smart infrastructure and real estate, has appointed Justin McCullough as Head of Real Estate – North America.
McCullough will be responsible for driving growth in the Real Estate sector, helping Willow’s customers achieve digital transformation, creating more efficient, sustainable and secure building portfolios. He joins Willow’s executive team bringing rich industry and technology expertise to the company.
His experience includes over 25 years as a technology leader in product and growth initiatives across Software as a Service in e-commerce, IoT and Building Controls. This included Justin leading building and scaling an IoT and cloud-based controls and automation platform to 11,000 buildings over a 3-year period. Most recently, he served as Global Product Leader and Head of Product & Engineering for the Sustainability and Smart Buildings team at CBRE.
“As buildings become more and more data-rich and silos between systems are removed, we need smarter platforms to understand this interconnectedness and make sense of the complexity within the built environment,” said McCullough.
“WillowTwin can help simplify large portfolio asset management for commercial real estate owners, by providing data driven insights that can inform operational, financial, security, and comfort decisions impacting a wide range of stakeholders and beneficiaries wanting increased savings and long-term sustainability through next-generation technology,” said McCullough.
Commenting on his reason to join Willow, he said: “I find the most compelling environments are where domain experts and cross-functional teams can collaborate on a shared vision, tackling these types of complex problems to create customer-focused value and much-needed technology enabled outcomes around operational efficiency and sustainability.”
Joshua Ridley, Global CEO and Co-Founder noted, “We’re honored to have someone of Justin’s experience and depth of industry knowledge join our team. His strengths will transfer directly to Willow and our rapidly expanding North American market, as we demonstrate how digital twin technology can help asset owners drive real operational savings, achieve their sustainability goals and ensure their assets are cyber secure.”
McCullough joins the scaling digital twin company Willow at a transformational point in time. The digital twin category has expanded and matured in the post-covid market, and has received validation from major cloud players investing heavily in the space. This includes Microsoft, whom Willow has an extensive and deep partnership with. Recently, Willow welcomed ex-Microsoft Azure IoT leader, Bert Van Hoof, as their new President and Chief Operating Officer, part of a wider industry trend, where established technology leaders are signaling to the market that the built world is now on the cusp of a tectonic digital shift.
