
Leadership Howard County, which seeks to empower leaders to strengthen and transform the community, will hold a general membership breakfast and gift drive, “Growing – Changing – Engaging,” on Friday, Dec. 16, at 8 a.m. at The Meeting House at 5885 Robert Oliver Place in Columbia.
Tracy Broccolino, president of the Community Action Council of Howard County, which works to decrease poverty in Howard County, will speak at the breakfast. Named president this year, Broccolino was the council’s director of education and brings 29 years of experience in education and leadership. She was a classroom teacher, reading specialist, curriculum designer and national director of exceptional student services for a charter school management organization.
At the breakfast, Leadership Howard County will collect gift donations for the Community Action Council’s Giving of Hope campaign benefiting the council’s early childhood education students.
