PK LAW Co-Founding Member David Pessin is Named A 2022 Icon Honoree By The Maryland Daily Record

Pessin Katz Law, P.A. (PK Law) is pleased to announce that David N. Pessin has been named a 2022 Icon Honoree by The Maryland Daily Record. The Icon Honors recognize Maryland business leaders over the age of 60 for their notable success and demonstration of strong leadership both within and outside of their chosen field. David was honored, along with the others on the 2022 list, at a reception held at the Center Club on December 12th.

David began his legal career in estate and business planning and during his decades of practice in those fields has assisted clients and their families from all walks of life preserve and maintain their personal and business assets. He is also one of the few attorneys in the area who regularly plans for and advises professional athletes, entertainers, and broadcasters in personal and business matters. Some of David’s high-profile clients include Olympian, Michael Phelps; former NBA Point Guard and current NBA coach, Sam Cassell; Mixed Martial Arts Fighter, Tito Ortiz; Baltimore Orioles Broadcaster, Fred Manfra; Tampa Bay Rays Broadcaster, Andy Freed; University of Maryland and NBA Basketball Star, Maryland Sports Radio Network broadcaster and financial advisor, Walt Williams; ABC 7’s Veronica Johnson; University of Maryland and NBA basketball player, Harvard Law School Graduate, Knight Commission Member and ESPN broadcaster Len Elmore; NBC 4 weather broadcaster, Chuck Bell, Olympic gold medalist, Helen Maroulis and Top 5 in the world women’s professional pickleball player, as well as the youngest in history, Anna Leigh Waters; and her mother, Top 10 in the world women’s professional pickleball player, Leigh Waters.

David’s background also includes teaching – one of several areas he has identified as something he would like to be part of his legacy. He taught at the University of Baltimore School of Law for over a decade, hosted several local talk radio shows on wealth preservation, has taught countless seminars for the public and members of professional organizations, and thoroughly enjoys listening to and educating his clients, along with the younger attorneys in the firm. “I enjoy teaching the associates to be good attorneys, how to best provide quality legal service to clients, and how to grow a practice that will support them, their families and continue the legacy of Pessin Katz Law,” remarks David. David also has a history of significant community involvement. He was on the Board of Directors for the March of Dimes, Central Maryland Chapter, and the Board of Directors for Adoptions Together, Inc. – terms of service for which he is immensely proud.
