Mosaic Construction, LLC, a full-service design/build commercial and multifamily renovation firm, is pleased to announce the completion of a new office renovation project for Expansive at 790 N. Milwaukee Street in the downtown area of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This latest project follows five other successful renovations Mosaic has performed for Expansive in downtown Chicago. Expansive’s flex workspace appeals to the growing number of companies returning to work and looking for smaller office suites with short-term space commitments in central downtown locations.
At Expansive Milwaukee, Cathedral Square, Mosaic Construction converted an approximately 4,500-square-foot, second-floor office space into four individual Club Suites, speculative suites with private offices and glass-enclosed conference rooms. The spaces accommodate a fully-connected, flexible working environment that appeals to companies with a hybrid workplace approach. Mosaic eliminated existing walls and installed new HVAC, acoustical tile and ceiling grid, while also improving the spaces with new flooring, glass walls, and lighting fixtures throughout.
“Mosaic was an efficient and effective construction partner on this project,” said Joe Bakhos, Director of Development for Expansive. “Their quality of oversight and management, along with their familiarity with the Expansive brand and finishes, was key to working through material procurement and supply chain-related challenges. We particularly appreciated their partnership in serving as our primary point of contact with the City of Milwaukee Building Department.”
“As Expansive’s trusted design-build contractor, Mosaic Construction oversaw the day-to-day project management,” said Ira Singer, Co-Founder of Mosaic Construction. “We truly value the trusted and collaborative relationship we have working with the Expansive team, the City of Milwaukee, and all our trade contractors. We appreciate being Expansive’s valued partner as the brand grows in Milwaukee, Chicago, and other cities across the United States.”
The six-story Class B office building is located between the Milwaukee River and Milwaukee Bay, adjacent to Cathedral Square Park in the heart of East Town, and conveniently located right off I-794 and I-43, and across from the M-line light rail.
