RCM&D Makes Major Investments in Washington, D.C. Market

RCM&D, a leading independent risk management, insurance and employee benefits firm, has announced major investments in the Washington, D.C. Market, including new leadership, contributions to local non-profits, and plans to relocate its local office to downtown Washington.

Brian Mack will join RCM&D as an Executive Vice President and will serve as the firm’s Washington, D.C. Market Leader effective March 6, 2023. Brian has over 25 years of insurance industry experience, including time as a construction practice leader. He has worked with several national brokers over the years and will lead the charge in building a strategic growth plan for the market. He is a passionate leader who shares RCM&D’s commitment to the community and its clients.

Brian’s leadership skills, technical expertise, sales acumen and local relationships offer the perfect combination of experience needed to lead us down a path of continued success, said Matt Kahn, RCM&D President and Washington resident. “I can’t think of a better person to take on this critically important role for RCM&D.

In the current corporate climate, there is often an emphasis on profit over clients and with the added impact of corporate consolidation, we’ve seen capital exit local communities, said Brian Mack. I am thrilled to join an organization that is not only investing in me but investing in my community. I can’t wait to introduce RCM&D, its storied history, and promising future to my friends and colleagues throughout the Mid-Atlantic.

In addition to its ongoing and past contributions to Martha’s TableWorld Central Kitchen and the United Planning Organization (UPO), RCM&D is making initial contributions to several other nonprofit organizations to further its investment in the Washington community. The firm is offering contributions to the Latino Student Fund in support of its work to ensure academic success for immigrant children throughout the city and to the DC Building Industry Association in support of its relentless advocacy for a vigorous, vibrant, and responsible Washington real estate development industry. Finally, the firm is offering a substantial contribution to the National Building Museum in support of its mission to inspire curiosity about the world we design and build.

RCM&D is also relocating its local office from Bethesda to the Capitol Hill area. The firm is eager to increase its presence in the metro area and expand its reach to better serve local clients and attract new talent in the market.
